Intervals Between Laser Hair Removal Sessions

Intervals between sessions are selected individually and depend on the treatment area, hair type, and individual factors. Laser is most effective on hairs that are in the active growth phase, which is why it’s important to come in the “right window” so the course is effective and predictable. For us, the key phase is anagen (the active growth phase) — this is when the laser is most effective.
What do we base the interval on?
Treatment area
Hair growth cycles differ across body areas: in some areas hair renews faster, in others more slowly.
Hair type and pigment
Denser, more pigmented hairs often show noticeable progress sooner, so the schedule can be adjusted throughout the course.
Hormonal factors and result stability
With hormonal fluctuations, some areas may require a more flexible schedule and maintenance treatments.
Approximate intervals by area (the exact interval is always selected individually)
Underarms / bikini area: about 6–8 weeks
Arms: about 6–10 weeks
Lower legs / full legs: about 8–10 weeks
Important: as the course progresses, intervals may become longer because hair starts to grow more slowly and less frequently.
When do we extend the interval?
hair has become noticeably sparser and grows more slowly;
there has been recent tanning, self-tanner use, or intense sun exposure;
there has been illness/inflammation, or certain medications have been taken.
Mindful care is always a form of self-care!
